Mission Statement

To prepare eager young people from underprivileged, diverse backgrounds for success in their academics, in their families, in their future careers and in the community.

Our goal is to develop self-esteem and self-confidence in our young people by building character, empowering good decisions, encouraging academic achievement, creating an appreciation for cultural arts, music and dance, and encouraging them to give back to the community.

Description

Club Esteem is an after-school program. However, it is not your typical drop-in after-school program. We are an achieivement-oriented program that challenges our children to master the skills they need to compete and succeed in school and life, and to achieve their academic, career and lifestyle goals.

Our program parallels the shool year (August to May). All children must participate in a comprehensive assessment process that determines their academic, social and life skill abilities. After these assessments they are placed in an activitiy-curiculum that fosters their mastery of the skills that they should have at their age level.

Club Esteem has evolved out of the recognition that in order for children to succeed and thrive, new values, expectations and challenges must be presented and conquered.
