Mission Statement

The Holcombe Rucker Community League (HRCL), a longstanding organization within the New York City community providing over 65 years of sportsmanship socialization, recreational, workforce development and training services to youth, basketball teams and community residents throughout the Tri-state area.
The HRCL model is designed to foster team building and leadership skills to teams, individuals and community members we serve. Participants learn to be thinkers and problem solvers through the use of our simplified methodological instruction. Participants internalize the use of these lessons for life on and off the basketball court.

Description

  • The Holcombe Rucker Community League, Inc. (HRCL), a non-for profit organization servicing youth from the ages of 8 to 24. We provide structured sports activities, workforce development and training to youth and community residents in the sport of basketball and Sports Management profession. Our programs strengthen participants academic, career and physical well being goals.
  • The organization is currently working with community residents through sports clinics, educational support, peer leadership, social support, physical/mental health, internships, vocational training, job placement, mentoring and coaching services.
