Mission Statement

In the spirit of Christ and the example of Francis of Assisi, the Mission of OSF HealthCare is to serve persons with the greatest care and love in a community that celebrates the gift of life.

Description

OSF Holy Family Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit hospital that cares for patients in acute care and skilled nursing beds with outpatient services that include a 24-hour clinic. The OSF Holy Family Clinics provide primary medical care for patients of all ages. Examples of the services the Clinics provide are: treatment and diagnosis of medical illnesses and injuries; annual physicals; well-patient visits; workman's compensation exams; employment exams; school physicals; sports physicals; and immunizations. The OSF Holy Family Clinics are staffed by several physicians, physician assistants, and a team of nurses and support staff.

Hospital services include acute and skilled nursing care beds, long-term care, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, home health care, a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services including nuclear scanning, computed tomography (CT) scanning, stress testing, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), bone densitometry, mammography, and ultrasound, as well as patient and community education programs.

At OSF Holy Family Medical Center, we continually strive to meet the health care needs of our communities and to provide new and appropriate services through patient surveys, focus groups, continuous quality improvement studies, and through the Patient Advocacy Program. The OSF Holy Family Patient Advocacy Program provides a liaison between patients and the hospital staff and assists patients in interpreting the hospital's policies and procedures. The Patient Advocate visits with our patients to ensure that their hospital stay is as pleasant as possible. Serving as a representative through whom patients may voice their problems and concerns, the Patient Advocate assists the staff to gain awareness of patients' perceptions of their hospital experience.
