It is estimated that between 4 and 15 million Americans have had near-death experiences, (NDEs) - a profound "beyond life" phenomena that often leads to dramatic changes in the experiencer's spiritual beliefs, attitudes and values. People who have had these experiences often refrain from sharing them because they do not fit into our current mainstream medical, psychological, cultural, and religious teachings. As a result, experiencers often feel depressed and isolated. Research shows that NDEs are NOT hallucinations or dreams. Our organization's mission is to foster research, greater understanding of NDEs and to support experiencers. We have over 50 support groups throughout the world, publish a quarterly journal and newsletter and conduct workshops, conferences and retreats.
