Mission Statement

The mission of the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center is dedicated to promoting the welfare, compassionate care and protection of animals, taking all domestic animals brought to us, finding suitable homes for adoptable animals, providing information, raising public awareness of animal issues, and promoting responsible pet ownership.

Description

The Corinne T. Smith Animal Center is an open admission animal shelter. We care for almost 4,000 animals each year.

Our programs include:

  • Pet adoptions
  • Lost and Found pets
  • Pet SOS (providing food, etc for pets in need)
  • Spay/neuter voucher program
  • Shelter and care of almost 4,000 animals each year
  • Pet ID program (furnishing free ID tags for pets)
  • Pet microchipping
  • Off-site pet adoption events
  • Two large fundraisers each year
