The mission of the Clear Creek/Gilpin Co. Animal Shelter is

a) to provide humane, compassionate care and treatment to every animal that comes to the shelter

b) to maintain a low euthanasia rate by actively networking to place adoptable animals in foster or permanent homes

c) to promote awareness and understanding of humane animal practices
