The mission of NUSD's Mentor Program is to help students who are credit deficient and/or at-risk of academic failure develop their full potential, both inside and outside of the classroom.

Description

Newark Unified School District serves k-12th graders in the Newark, CA community. NUSD's Mentor Program works to recruit, screen and train community volunteers to be matched with self-selected students in a one-to-one relationship. After an appropriate match has been made the Mentor Program offers on-going support and training for both the mentors and students.
