Mission Statement

Ultra affordable or free music instruction in public schools in inner city schools after dismissal.

Description

Arts in schools have been cut dramatically to the point where students aren't getting fundamental access to subjects such as music. Communities are thereby looking to programs run by After School Rocks to help fill that need.

We place group violin, guitar, chorus or percussion programs in schools that do not have programs such as these. In 2015, we are looking to raise enough money to be able to provide the funding for 100 classes across NYC along with free instruments for the children to use.

The challenge we face will be in mobilizing communities to assist in the strategic and creative placement of programs and instrument donations.
