Mission Statement

City Arts of San Mateo is a non-profit organization founded by resolution of the San Mateo City Council in 1996. Our mission is to promote interest in the arts and enhance opportunities for residents, workers and visitors to participate in and enjoy visual, literary and performing arts in our community.

Description

City Arts of San Mateo fosters creating, connecting and celebrating arts in San Mateo. Our programs include sponsorship of a city-wide high school arts recognition program, free poetry readings, curation of an art gallery space, cataloging of public art, and sponsorship of visual and performing arts programs.
