Mission Statement

Inland Harvest was established in late 1990 to feed hungry people by transporting surplus food donated by hospitals, restaurants, hotels, schools, bakeries, caterers, wholesalers and retailers to already established feeding programs in the Inland Empire.

Inland Harvest is an all volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. It has no paid employees.

In effect, this has helped agencies expand their food budgets by thousands of dollars, added variety to diets and as a bonus, saved scarce space in our community's land fill.

Description

Every day restaurants, cafeterias, caterers, bakeries and markets discard hundreds of pounds of good food - food that could help feed the needy in our community.

Inland Harvest volunteers will pick up any amount of good nutritious food from businesses in the Inland Empire and take it directly to shelters and community food programs.

Since 1990 our volunteers have transported more than 24,000,000 pounds of good food to locations providing food for the hungry in the Inland Empire.
