If you have a passion for caring for others and are looking for a way to make a difference in people's lives, consider becoming a hospice volunteer. Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice care team, helping to improve the quality of life for our patients, their families and their caregivers. Please consider becoming a part of our team as a volunteer performing direct care patient visits! This would include potentially visiting our patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities. Some examples of what the direct care patient visits my consist of include: offering companionship, playing cards, chess or board games, or simply reminiscing or having a friendly conversation.

We are looking for great volunteers that are willing to assist in various capacities. Training is provided and volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and are supported by other members of the patient care team. Some examples of volunteer needs; offering companionship, playing chess, cards or board games, knitting or scrapbooking, providing support at time of death, veteran to veteran visits, making weekly "tuck-in" calls, making bereavement phone calls or visits, administrative support and much more.

We are looking for great Reiki Practitioner volunteers that are willing to share their practice. Training is provided and volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and are supported by other members of the patient care team. Requirements are to provide either certification as a Healing Touch Practitioner OR evidence of live, in-person training with a minimum of three levels taught by a Reiki Master Teacher AND evidence of a minimum of 1 year experience providing Reiki sessions.

Training is provided and volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and are supported by other members of the patient care team. Requirements are that you will provide certification with a humane-animal organization therapy program, pet health history and vaccination records, and completion of a signed release of liability and a notarized pet behavior affidavit.

We are looking for volunteers who are able to work remotely, by making "Tuck In" calls. These calls can be done from the comfort of your home, on your schedule. These calls are a touch base with our patients or their families to check in and ensure they have all needed supplies and support. These calls are so important to maintain the connection with our patients and families. Please consider helping in this capacity!
