With a mission based on Judeo-Christian principles, the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is a Michigan 501(c)3, secular not for profit community organization dedicated to putting its principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Our impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a volunteer mentor inspires a child, when a community comes together for the common good.

Welcome to the Y. We’re an inclusive organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

For over 150 years, the YMCA has served the Metro Detroit region where children and families can grow.
