Mission Statement
Inducing a cultural shift in transportation habits across the United States by changing the way our youth are educated and empowered about mobility.
Description
The Mobility Education Foundation is working to expand drivers education into a multi-modal "mobility education" experience. We are creating curricula, promoting the concept nationally, providing technical assistance to champions across the country, and raising funds to support pilot programs. We have recruited a high-caliber board of directors and national advisory committee with expertise in education, transportation, and youth development.
Founded in May 2007, we are already responding to national interest and demand for this concept. This is a great place for you to volunteer if you are interested in working to change culture while also addressing crises of obesity, global warming, teen traffic fatalities, and rising transportation costs.
