Mission Statement

The World Family mission is to improve the health care in Ethiopia, reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS and other preventable diseases, and support comprehensive care for orphans through self sufficient and sustainable programs.

Description

Giving hope to orphan children - Provide comprehensive community based orphans program providing education, medical, nutritional and social support to orphans and their communities to build positive and productive livelihoods, with the emphasis of self sufficiency, family structure, community service and job skills training.

Recycle excess medical equipment into life saving resources - Source surplus medical equipment and supplies from hospitals and other partners to ship to health care facilities in Ethiopia to improve access to quality health care for the rural population and the hospitals in the cities.

Medical professionals working in Ethiopia - Organize technical mentorship visits by volunteer professionals (physicians, nurses, education experts, biomedical technicians, etc) to health care and education facilities in Ethiopia.
