Sacramento Women's Chorus is a non-profit group of women who are building community through our love of music, dedication to musical excellence and commitment to performing music which reflects the lives of all women.
Sacramento Women's Chorus makes appearances on behalf of women, the environment, peace and justice, LGBT equality, tolerance and the celebration of diversity.
Through our music we empower ourselves and our audiences, giving voice to the strengths, hopes and dreams of women.

Sacramento Women's Chorus is a member of the Sister Singers Network (a national network of women's choruses) and GALA choruses (the international Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses). We travel to Sister Singers and GALA events and host fundraisers in order to augment members' contributions. We performed at the quadrennial GALA festivals in 2000 (San Jose) and 2004 (Montreal) and we performed at the 2006 Sister Singers retreat in San Diego; we plan on performing at the 2008 GALA Festival (Miami).
We do many small events to support the causes that are a part of our mission. Some of the events at which we have performed are: Peace and Labor Rallies; Women Take Back the Night; Sacramento Pride; the PFLAG Service of Remembrance; August Women's Peace Event; Women's International League for Peace & Freedom; and the Rainbow Festival. We have also had the pleasure of opening for several Holly Near concerts as well as singing the National Anthem for the Sacramento Monarchs. We also produce our own concerts 1-2 times per year.
