The overall goal of Ozark Water Projects is to improve the health, education, food security, and economic opportunity of people globally by providing ongoing access to clean safe water. Ozark Water Project’s mission is to alleviate as much human suffering as possible by providing clean fresh water for those who thirst.
The overall goal of Ozark Water Projects is to improve the health, education, food security, and economic opportunity of people globally by providing ongoing access to clean safe water.
Our focus is to provide water through the most effective means possible for the area in need.
- In Kenya, well digging is most in need as they have sufficient aquifers to provide water for inhabitants in marginal lands, but need help in order to access it. We will work in conjunction with other non-profit organizations to identify the location of these aquifers and then drill to the necessary depth to provide safe clean water. We will use proper means to test for water quality and then line the well and finish it with a hand pump.
- In Haiti, (since the January 2010 earthquake) much of their water supply is contaminated. On site, we will provide and install solar powered water purification systems. These systems can purify approximately 600 gallons of water an hour and are particularly effective in disaster situations because they are solar powered and therefore, do not require electricity to function.
