Offer increased access and recreational opportunities for persons with physical and mental disabilities that will create freedom, promote independence, support inclusion and help those individuals and their families discover their full social, mental and athletic potential.

Description

AbilityPLUS is governed by a group of dedicated individuals who share a commitment to people with special needs, including a fifteen-member Board of Directors and a seven-member advisory board. Several members of the board are co-founders and have been involved in operation and fund raising activities since the organization's inception in 1997.

AbilityPLUS operates five disabled adaptive snowsports and recreation programs and is affiliated with four others in New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts.

On average, 200 volunteers are integral to the success of AbilityPLUS, and arefrom all walks of life between the ages of 14 and 75. All of our volunteers commit to a specific amount of time and are dedicated to ensuring that participants enjoy themselves while adhering to the safety and conduct standards of the organization.
