Amethyst exists to nurture and sustain healthy women and families. We provide long-term addictopm, trauma and mental helath reatment, intergrated with affordable housing.

Description

In 1984 a group of recovering women founded Amethyst to provide long-term sober support and safe, affordable housing to women who are recovering from addictions. The agency ran on a volunteer basis for five years, beginning with three clients and a donated house.

Currently, Amethyst is one of the largest women-centered treatment agencies in the state of Ohio. With over 100 housing units, Amethyst helps homeless women and their children mend, heal and grow.
