Mission Statement

The Arc of Greater Williamsburg's mission is to improve the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities through community activities and advocacy.

Description

The Arc of Greater Williamsburg offers a variety of social, educational, and recreational activities and events throughout the year.

Warm weather activities include the William & Mary Carnival, Busch Gardens Day, and our annual bowling league. Parties are held several times during the year to mark the holidays. Fitness classes are held weekly to better the health and wellness of our members. Movie Madness , Bingo, arts & crafts and visits to local sporting events, museums, and parks, enrich lives. Clients also perform community service and participate in educational programs, such as Self Advocacy and Literature and the Arts.

We work to improve public education and awareness in the community of those with intellectual disabilities through advocacy, self-advocacy, and support networks.
