Mission Statement

Hospice Care of California affirms life. We have a strong belief in the intrinsic dignity of each person, leading us to provide hospice care for the whole person--body, mind and spirit. Our mission is to provide quality medical and social services to the terminally ill and their families, focusing on support and caring in a time of need. We desire to walk beside patients and families, as they remain decision-makers about their own lives. We emphasize quality of life, as defined by each individual, when quantity of days has become limited. Important practical steps include symptom management, family education, and clear communication between patient, family, and hospice team. Although few feel totally prepared for death, our goal at Hospice Care of California is to help you prepare for the dying process, so that you can feel empowered and peaceful even during a very difficult time.
