CAMP HEARTLAND SUMMER CAMPS and REUNION PROGRAMS
Through our week-long summer camping programs and year-round "mini-session" reunions, we help the children make friends, have fun and develop new skills and self confidence, while experiencing a sense a liberation and unconditional acceptance to help them be successful throughout the year. The development of the Camp Heartland Center allows us to welcome thousands of children throughout the year.
LIFE ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMS
Our Life Enhancement programs are designed to sustain and build upon the experiences gained at summer camp. Through various educational, recreational and social opportunities including day trips, the Heartland Chat Line, special mailings and regular contact with camp staff, campers are able to remain connected to Camp Heartland throughout the year and maintain the unique support network they developed during the summer.
JOURNEY OF HOPE AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAMS
During our "Journey of Hope" peer AIDS awareness seminars, we encourage the youth of America to do their part in eliminating the tragedy of AIDS.
CAMP HEARTLAND SHARES
Through our Camp Heartland Shares program, our medical, psychosocial and camping professionals provide comprehensive information, printed materials, and technical support to agencies and individuals interested in initiating their own HIV camping programs. Several new camps have been initiated through this unique support program.
HEARTLAND PARTNERS
Camp Heartland partners with other organizations that assist underserved populations to provide a camping program for their own clients. Our highly skilled and well-trained staff is utilized to develop and implement a program specifically designed for each Heartland Partner agency.
GLOBAL HEARTLAND
To help alleviate the suffering of people living with HIV/AIDS worldwide, Camp Heartland has established the Global Heartland program. Camp Heartland is pleased to provide technical support, training and other resources to organizations worldwide that are on the front lines in fighting the AIDS pandemic. Partnerships are underway in India, Honduras and Uganda with additional collaborations beginning in other countries in the near future.
