CCY's mission is to be the PLACE that improves and empowers the lives of California's youth by: Partnering with youth Linking youth-serving programs throughout California Advocating for youth rights Connecting youth to resources Educating communties, policymakers and stakeholders
CCY established the California Youth Crisis Line to provide youth and their famiies a 24-hour confidential resource that empowers youth seeking solutions, provides referrals to more than 5,500 programs statewide, or simply offers someone to talk to.
CCY develops education tools in a variety of formats to inform and empower youth such as hosting the annual Taking Action Conference, a forum that draws youth of all backgrounds, and providers of services that impact youth, in networking environment with informative workshops relevant to youth.
CCY seeks to create and affect public policy and administrative programs by meeting regularly with policymakers so that youth and their families can develop and live in environments that ensure their empowerment and the achievement of their potential.
