Mission Statement

The Community Center (TCC) was founded in 1983. We are a 501(c) (3) organization. We are a unique resource in the State of Idaho. TCC will continue it's leadership in providing connections for a statewide, minority community. Through Diversity Newsmagazine, the TCC established and maintains the only free publication reaching all of Idaho's LGBQTIA population with news of special interest to the members.

In addition to providing a forum for publicizing activities and hosting events unifying the LGBQTIA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, Transgender, Intersex, and Allies) community in Idaho, TCC also provides a space for groups to meet in Boise. The venues for a social minority group are limited in Idaho, and the youth community, especially, needs a safe and smoke-free environment.

One of the earliest Gay organizations in Idaho, we continue to focus not only on how to assist the present generation, but plan to provide a historical museum dedicated to LGBQTIA issues in Idaho and enhance our current library by offering the public wireless access and computers for research, and create a retirement community as steps towards enhancing Idaho's future.
