Mission Statement

Pharcyde Entertainment, Inc. has devoted itself to the education of child and community alike in the art of dance. With the unique combination of art and athleticism that dancing provides, it allows one to feed mind, body, and soul. The feeling of satisfaction we receive as we watch a student's confidence and self-esteem grow through interaction with others and personal achievement is immeasurable. This, along with the discipline learned through continual exercise, provides our students with lifelong skills. Since its inception in 2002 by co-founders Isaiah Meders and Leslie Peck, we have been proud to be amongst a select few of non-profit organizations to feature social dancing, alongside other forms of dance. We are prouder still to be able to say, "We have never turned a student down." As part of our commitment to an economically diverse community, we offer scholarships to students who might not otherwise be able to afford it. Part of our community outreach program involves taking our dance program into the schools, so that we might bring this art that impassions us to an entire community. Pharcyde teaches its students to interact respectfully, from the 3 yr old to our 70 yr. old. We offer classes in Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Salsa, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Lyrical , as well as foster a Professional & Amateur Salsa company.
