RITES OF PASSAGE, ACA [AIDS Care & Assistance]

In the past 5 years,Rites of Passage, ACA has worked closely with the Native American/First Nations people of North America. Their wisdom and their teachings have brought our work with death and dying full circle. Our most recent film, an award winning documentary titled, Starblanket:A Spirit Journey was a First Nations production, as is our soon to be released film, The 8TH FIRE. The culmination of this work will be featured in a unique and powerful, educational event in Austin, Texas October 13, 2007. This event which we are calling BRINGING IN THE 8th FIRE will feature the premiere of our film, a talk by a First Nations Elder and a Native American Reggae Band with a world message. The focus of this event will be on the environment and world peace and will be relevant to all people regardless of race, culture, age or religion.
