The Southwest Center founded in 1982 is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of on-site and community based programs for adults with disabilities. On-site programming consist of fulfillment type work which individuals an opportunity to work and earn a paycheck without being in the community. Additionally on-site we operate a wholesale/retail ceramic shops whereby individuals from the program along with staff work on the initial stage of glazing greenware. Program participants are paid for this job as well.

Our community based services consist of 2 off-site vocational programs (Supported Employment and Community Rehabilitation Program). Individuals in these program work with staff on obtaining and sustaining gainful employment in the community. Additionally we have a full time Adult Day Training program whereby individuals have the opportunity to learn more activities of daily living in preparation for independent living.
