Providing human services and advocacy that will enable African Americans and other people of color to cultivate and develop their individual and group potential on a par with all other Minnesotans.
The Minneapolis Urban League is a non-profit human services organization that owns and operates an elementary school and high school; operates a group home from adjudicated men, 16-19 years; and manages a truancy/curfew center. It operates two facilities from which it administers programs for the underserved, low-income residents in our Minneapolis communities. A few of the programs include: Housing Stability Program, LEAP Program (jobs in the trades), Welfare to Work, and a jobs program.
