Mission Statement

The Sumner Teen Center is an innovative nonprofit agency providing a FREE, safe, nurturing community for high school teenagers in Sumner County, Tennessee. Our Center’s goal is to support parents and join with schools, businesses and professionals in community to encourage the transition of our teenagers into successful adults.

Description

Sumner Teen Center provides volunteer opportunities, within the center, for students and adults. Additionally, we work with other area non-profits by collecting goods and providing services for those in need. However, volunteering is only one of many options we offer our teens to become reliable, productive members of the community. We do not cater to a certain social class or ability - All students entering the 7-12th grades are welcome. We do not tolerate behaviors that are destructive to self or others and we have the right to dismiss students who exhibit such behaviors. Students attracted to our organization are typically introverted, creative minded, gamer and uniquely gifted individuals who are just looking for like minded friends.
