Home Repair Services in a non-profit organization dedicated to serving low-income homeowners. In the past twelve months Home Repair Services helped over 3,400 lower-income homeowners maintain their home investment. We provide critical repair services for emergency problems and offer many forms of support and encouragement to help our clients learn to "do it themselves." Our self-help programs include weekly training classes, a tool-lending library and a low-cost building materials store, called Builders' Abundance. We also combat childhood lead poisoning, build wheelchair ramps and provide financial counseling for families facing foreclosure. These programs empower families, support our vulnerable neighborhoods, and promote stronger and more successful communities.
