Mission Statement

PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap advocates, educates, and provides direct services to nurture the bond of companionship between pets and their people, for the health and well-being of both.

Description

PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap has been serving the community for 40 years. While most people know PAWS as the best place to adopt a cat or kitten, we also provide a range of programs including: assistance with spay and neuter costs for families and individuals on a fixed income; emergency veterinary assistance for low-income families and seniors on a fixed income; pet rescue and adoption services, including the Right Dog, Right Home dog adoption personal shopper service; the Pets and Loving Seniors (PALS) program to help seniors on a fixed income retain their lifelong companion pets; a cat sanctuary; educational outreach, In From the Wild feral cat management; the Safe Harbor program, temporary emergency boarding for cats; a pet food bank; as well as an online service for lost and found pets (KitsapLostPets.org).

PAWS is an independent 501(c) (3) nonprofit charitable organization and is supported entirely by private contributions. Thank you for supporting PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap, the animals we serve appreciate it, as well as their people.
