Supporting Families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit{NICU} through support services, home cooked meals, and grants.

Description

We run Mom's & Family Groups weekly at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Denver with a facilitator that teaches coping skills and supports conversation and serves up a homecooked meal. Additionally we provide Essentials Bags to all families admitted into the NICU at University of Colorado Hospital with babies under 34 weeks gestational age. Finally we offer an annual grant to a familiy who spent 4 weeks or more in the NICU, was insured through their stay and has remaining medical bills in excess of $100,000.
