Mission Statement

Our mission is to place each and every one of our adoptable animals into responsible homes and to ensure that all animals in our shelter are cared for and comforted as much as possible during their stay with us. We are also dedicated to reducing the number of unwanted animals in our community through low cost spay and neuter services, education and behavior assistance for all pet owners.

Description

The San Jose Animal Care Center is the biggest animal shelter on the west coast. We take in 18,000 homeless animals every year from the San Jose area. We strive to find homes for them and to reduce the number of animals in need through low cost spay and neuter services, education and behavior counseling. Volunteers play a big part in helping us achieve our goals.
