Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) in Central NC to individuals with physical, emotional or developmental disabilities, alongside their typically developing peers when possible;
to educate our community about people with disabilities and equine related activities; to link people with disabilities to equine professionals; and to engage people in volunteer work to achieve a positive result for themselves and for their community.

Description

CAN-TR is an organization committed to providing rehabilitative services to those in our community utilizing horses as the medium to deliver rehabilitation. The movements of the horse, riding and working with these animals on the ground provide many physical as well as mental benefits. We have six horses that live and work at the farm, with a staff of three.
