Description
Volunteers of America is a national, nonprofit, spiritually based organization. Western Washington creates volunteer opportunities to help support the lives of the homeless, children and families.
INFORMATION DISTRIBUTORS: Distribute informational materials in the community.
CLASSROOM ASSISTANT: Assist teachers with caring for children.
INSTRUCTORS FOR "POWER-UP" PROGRAM: This program offers disadvantaged children the opportunity to learn to use computers and the Internet.
CHILDCARE: Provide care for children whose families are involved in court.
EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE: Pack and distribute baskets of food for needy families.
GROUNDS KEEPER: Maintain the grounds and play areas.
LIFE SKILLS GROUP LEADER: Assists formerly homeless individuals in their reintegration into the community.
PARENTING SKILLS GROUP LEADER: Assists clients in their reintegration into the community and family life.
CLOTHING SORTER: Unpack, sort, and arrange donated clothing.
ORGANIZER OF CLOTHING OR FOOD DRIVE: Organize clothing or food drives in your community
