Volunteers of America is a national, nonprofit, spiritually based organization. Anoka Care Center creates volunteer opportunities to help support the lives of the residents.

GARDENER: Maintain flower gardens
ADAPTIVE SPORT ASSISTANTS: Assist residents with their recreational activities
SOCIAL ACTIVITY ASSISTANTS: Assist residents during social activities and games
MEALTIME COMPANIONS: Provide assistance to residents during mealtime
VISITORS: Spend time with the residents.
MANICURISTS: Provide manicuring service to the residents.
MAIL DELIVERERS: Deliver and read mail to the residents
DEVOTION LEADERS: Read spiritual and inspirational materials
BIBLE STUDY LEADERS: Read and discuss the Bible stories and scriptures
CHURCH SERVICE ESCORTS: Escort residents to and from church.
COMFORT CARE VISTORS: Provide comfort to dying residents
PET THERAPY: Share pets with the residents.
SEWER/MENDER: Mend residents clothing
