Description

Volunteers of America is a national, nonprofit, spiritually based organization. Southeast creates volunteer opportunities to help support the lives of the developmental disable and those in need.

STORY-TIME WITH PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN: Explore the world of reading with pre-school children.
PAINTER: Interior painting is needed at our child day care facilities and multiple group homes.
HOME REPAIR ASSESSMENTS: Home repair assessments are needed for multiple group homes.
HANDYMAN: Repairs are needed in multiple group homes.
TELEPHONE AND LETTER PALS: Provide correspondence to a mentally challenged individual.
YARD WORK: Basic gardening and landscaping is needed for multiple group homes.
HONOR MOTHERS ON MOTHER DAY: "I Remember Mother" is an annual Volunteers of America luncheon that honors senior mothers on Mother's Day. Volunteers needed day of event.
PERSONAL VISITOR: Befriend a senior in our local nursing homes.
FOOD DELIVERERS: Deliver food and other basic necessities to families in need.
