Mission Statement

Point Loma Rotary Club provides support for pancreatic cancer research, community projects in Point Loma, the greater San Diego area and around the world including water filtration in Fiji.

he Jim Krause Memorial Charity Bicycle Tour of Point Loma, RideThePoint, will be held Saturday morning November 12, 2016. The ride begins and ends at Liberty Station with a staggered start of 500 riders. This is a ride, not a race; there will be no blocking of roads; riders will follow established bike routes and obey traffic laws.

Funds raised by this event will be donated to the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center which is dedicated to translating promising scientific discoveries into new options for the care of cancer patients. Founded in 1979, it ranks among the top centers in the nation conducting basic and clinical cancer research, providing advanced patient care, and serving the community through outreach and education programs. Would you recommend Point Loma Rotary Club?

This was a great event! The event staff (Point Loma Rotary Club) were wonderful to work with. Everyone was very gracious and was there to make sure the participants had a safe and fun day, it was successful for the vendors that participated and that every volunteer was able to contribute and felt valued. The event logistics were exceptionally well planned and executed. Those of you that volunteer for these types of events know this isn't always the case, but these folks nailed it. The ride participants were great too and were very appreciative of the volunteers. Overall, this was a fun day supporting a great cause and I would recommend anyone looking at supporting future RideThePoint or Point Loma Rotary Club events do so!
