Mission Statement

The Bridge Line is a non-profit organization with the mission to provide a family-like living environment for the support of adults with brain injuries.

Description

We foster social, psychological, and spiritual rehabilitation. Committed to an emphasis on the individual as well as to community integration, we utilize each member’s unique gifts in the day-to-day operation of the program and also organize outside activities of special interest.

The Bridge is a private, long-term residential community for adult survivors of traumatic brain injury. The staff believes that survivors' lives don’t have to be static. They, like everyone else, are still in the progress of becoming.

Life experiences are shared at Building Bridges. The members live with support staff in one of three homes in a residential neighborhood close to downtown Charlottesville. They are part of the community and enjoy the intellectual and cultural life the city and the University of Virginia offer.
