Description

The Corps of Engineers is looking for a few good volunteers! Do you have skills in office work, biology and related fields, engineering, or environmental permitting? Then the Corps has a job for you.

The Corps needs volunteers to assist office administrators and project managers with environmental resource permitting in the Fort Myers, Florida field office. The Regulatory Division reviews and evaluates building permits using Federal Regulations and Guidelines for public interest and environmental sustainability. Due to limiting factors, the Corps of Engineers in Florida is understaffed and in need of help. The volunteer positions offer you a chance to be of service to your community and your country, gain experience and knowledge of the Corps Regulatory Program, with available training and flexible weekday work hours. The volunteer positions do not provide hospital plans or retirement systems but are covered for on-the-job injuries.
