Triangle Aphasia Project

TAP was designed by and for individuals with communication deficits due to stroke or brain injury with aphasia and in danger of becoming socially isolated. You can help reduce that percentage.

The Triangle Aphasia Project is a nonprofit organization still in it's infancy, but having significant impact on the life participation goals of individuals with aphasia as a result of stroke or brain injury. We are getting people off their sofas and back into the community. We offer them opportunities to communicate again with confidence and competence...and we are eliminating the stigma associated with communication disorders. We accomplish these objectives by stressing family involvement, training of all communicative partners and potential interactants. We offer group treatment when services have run out for individuals and pair them with communicative partners to help plug away at community reengagement.
