Mission Statement

The Art Experience, Inc is a center for healing and growth, through the expressive arts and play. We provide a safe place for develping the creative impulse, self-exploration, understanding and change through art making and play. We empower individuals and groups and encourage community building in a safe therapeutic environment.

Description

We provide free, sliding scale, and fee based art classes, self-insight and exploration creativity groups for children and adults, and art therapy groups for chronically ill children and at-risk teens. We also offer puppet making classes and summer camps. Each fall we present an annual puppet festival, Puppets in the Park free for our community. Our giant puppets have been featured in the Fayetteville New Year's Eve celebrations and Wal-Mart's annual shareholders meeting in June 2014. We collaborate with artists, homeschool groups, and the public schools to present art and storytelling workshops.
