Mission Statement

The two-fold mission of OPERATION REINVENT is to

1. Provide post 9/11 women veterans--the most underserved and ignored segment of the veteran population--with the guidance and resources they need to identify career paths that suit their skills, education, experience, goals, interests and passions to GET THE (RIGHT) JOB.

2. Be the catalyst that builds public awareness and recognition of the unique needs and talents of women veterans through a variety of media and marketing initiatives.

Description

With laser-like focus OPERATION REINVENT addresses the often daunting challenges faced by the 13,000 women leaving military service each year to reenter civiian life and the highly competetive US job market.

OPERATION REINVENT bridges the chasm between military and civilian life with a well-defined, highly personal 8-step "Get the Job" career development program, which allows each participant to progress at her own pace and her own goals and agenda. The Program includes personality and career assessment, peer-2-peer counseling, business mentoring, career skills coaching, rsum makeovers interview skills training, professional beauty makeover, wellness programs, 'on-boarding' and adaptive on-the-job workplace literacy coaching.

The Program is 6-12 months in duration and we ask the participants that after they have successfully integrated into civilian society to continue helping other women veterans as a peer counselor.
