Mission Statement

Texoma RSVP is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service whose mission is to assist people ages 55 and older to find enriching volunteer opportunities that will utilize their talents and make positive impact within the community. Texoma RSVP serves as a bridge to connect Seniors willing to "Share the Experience of a Lifetime" with the non-profit and public service agencies that need volunteer services. A primary part of our mission is to educate the community on the valuable services that Texoma RSVP members provide in our community, and to provide our senior volunteers with the recognition they so richly deserve.

Description

Make a Difference in Your Community!

The Texoma RSVP program provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week serving through nursing homes, food pantries, meals on wheels, senior centers and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of Americans who are 55+ with opportunities to help solve community problems while offering supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
