Mission Statement
Mission: To improve the quality of life of people 55 and older by offering meaningful volunteer opportunities in Boone County.
Vision: We envision a community in which seniors are valued for their experience, wisdom, and are empowered to make a difference by volunteering in the community.
Description
We connect volunteers age 55 and older with organizations throughout Boone County. Opportunities range from one-time assignments at local events to ongoing daily schedules at local hospitals and public and nonprofit organizations. Volunteers can learn a new skill or share their wealth of professional experience through community boards and consulting arrangements.
RSVP is more than volunteer placement. We guide the talents and knowledge of hundreds of individuals to the positions where their efforts will make a significant difference in our communities.
RSVP is a Senior Corps program, part of the Corporation for National and Community Service. Boone County Council on Aging is the local sponsor organization for RSVP of Boone County.
