Mission Statement

A hospice patient is someone who has a life-limiting illness that despite all medical treatments remains unresponsive. CareSouth is here to help provide assistance with our patient’s end of life experience.

We believe that each of us has the right to complete life free from pain and with dignity. We also believe that our loved ones should receive the necessary support to allow us to do so.

CareSouth Hospice provides physical, social, spiritual and emotional care to people who are in the last stages of a terminal illness. The focus of hospice care is to provide comfort and enrich the quality of life for you, your family and your caregivers, in a way that is acceptable to you.

CareSouth Hospice will work with and support your family and caregivers to provide the best care possible, in the comfort of your own home, developing a plan of care to meet your individual needs.

Description

As a hospice volunteer, you are a vital part of the CareSouth Hospice team. You visit patients, comfort the bereaved, sit with the dying, assist in our office, and provide other services as needed. You listen. You comfort. You care. You are a hospice volunteer. And we couldn’t provide the quality care and service our patient’s need without you. In order to become a Hospice Volunteer you will need to take an initial comprehensive training program offered through CareSouth Hospice.
