Mission Statement

Tennessee Miss Amazing Pageant provides opportunities for young women with disabilities to build self-confidence through the skills learned in pageantry. The mission of Miss Amazing Inc is to provide opportunities for girls and women with disabilities to build confidence and self-esteem in a supportive environment.

Description

TN Miss Amazing Pageant exists to celebrate the young woman who overcomes her disability and lets her personality and confidence shine through. This type of radiance does not always shine though perfect speech or eloquent sentences, but through the contestant's pure happiness with herself. As the participants embark on their own journey through the TN Miss Amazing Pageant, they will learn to become more comfortable with carrying on a conversation with a new acquaintance, with standing in front of a crowd and believing they are beautiful, and with declaring their unique qualities for everyone to hear. With practice and unwavering support from volunteers and other participants, any girl has the ability to confidently complete each phase of the program and grow through the experience.

The program is broken up into seven age divisions ranging from ages 5 - 99. These young ladies will participate in three areas: Interview, Introduction and Evening Wear.

Talent Showcase: An optional activity offers each participant the opportunity to show off her favorite talent and to strive for improvement.
