H.H.C - H.E.A.L removes barriers by partnering youth with horses in rural settings so that they can work through issues resulting from low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence, as well as feelings of anxiety and fear. This helps them to become vital, self aware, active community members, capable of building healthy relationships, understanding their own boundaries and developing communication skills.

Horses Help Canada is a non profit organization; our mission is "To create a safe opportunity for youth with special needs and youth-at- risk to thrive. H.H.C - H.E.A.L removes barriers by partnering youth with horses in rural settings so that they can work through issues resulting from low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence, as well as feelings of anxiety and fear. This helps them to become vital, self aware, active community members, capable of building healthy relationships, understanding their own boundaries and developing communication skills."

We are currently looking for volunteers who have experience working with youth and horses, which are willing to give their time to help our organization grow.

Some of the responsibilities for this volunteer position will be but not limited to:

- working as part of a team with a small group of youth.

- Teaching safety around horses

- Teaching basic horsemanship skills

- Side walking and leading horses with students

- Staying positive and encouraging students to raise their self esteem
