Would you like to make a difference in a child’s life while gaining work experience and earning community service credit? City of Hayward’s public library is currently accepting volunteers who can tutor student’s K-12. Hayward’s children need capable adults who can help them not just complete their homework, but develop studying skills that can be applied later on in their schooling. Tutors must speak English and communicate well, be proficient in spelling, punctuation, and math. Bilingual tutors are encouraged to apply. We can work with your schedule in order to accommodate your needs. Volunteers must go through interview process and fingerprint clearance.
