Help to bring computer and on line literacy to older adults - the people who missed out on the computer revolution often because they retired before computers were an integral part of the workplace!

SeniorNet Learning Centers are places where computer classes, specifically designed for older adults, are offered. They are places where a student who has never used a computer can learn basic computer skills. Skills include how to turn the system on and off - how to use the mouse to drag and drop and point and click - how to write, edit, save and print a letter; and how to access and use the Internet and other online services to send e-mail and to participate in a chat. Danbury SeniorNet currently offers these courses: Intro to Personal Computers, Introduction to the Internet, Intermediate Computing, Intoduction to Quicken, Graphics and Scanning, and Genealogy using Family Tree Maker.
