The Harcatus RSVP Program develops meaningful volunteer opportunities for persons 55 and older put their skills and life experiences to work for their communities. RSVP volunteers serve from a few hours to twenty hours per week. They do just about everything from tutoring students to working to reduce crime against the elderly. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of the older Americans with opportunities to help solve community needs and make a lasting difference. Benefits of being an RSVP volunteer include: Supplemental insurance while on duty, pre-service orientation, on the job training, mileage reinburstment for school volunteers and mentoring from the RSVP staff.
